Hilary Dennen is a member of the firm’s Litigation, Labor and Employment, and Estate Planning and Probate Sections. She represents both individuals and companies in complex civil litigation matters at the trial court and appellate level, including breach of contract claims, violations of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, employment-related disputes, partitions, property disputes, regulatory matters, and trust and estate litigation. In addition, Hilary advises clients with respect to human resource issues, drafting and updating employee handbooks, and navigating Department of Labor complaints.
In her probate practice, Hilary represents both fiduciaries, such as executors, administrators, trustees, and conservators, and non-fiduciaries, such as heirs, beneficiaries, and creditors of estate and trusts, in a wide range of contested and uncontested matters, including conservatorships, guardianships, estate administrations, will contests, and prosecuting and defending claims for breach of fiduciary duties.
With respect to regulatory matters, Hilary regularly assists clients with health facilities licensures and Certificate of Need matters before the Tennessee Health Facilities Commission.
Hilary received her law degree in 2017 from Belmont University College of Law where she received the Best Performance Award in Alternative Dispute Resolution. She received her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Vanderbilt University. A Nashville native, Hilary is a 2009 graduate of Pope John Paul II High School.
In addition, Hilary serves on the board for the Nashville Shakespeare Festival as its chair, having previously served as its secretary and vice chair. She is also active in animal rescue and recently became a member of the board for Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary.
When not working, Hilary enjoys traveling and spending time with her cat, Yorkie, and two Old English Sheepdogs.
