Flynne M. Dowdy Associate

 

Overview

Flynne is a member of the firm’s Litigation section. She focuses her practice in the areas of labor and employment, business and commercial litigation,  railroad and transportation, and personal injury defense. Flynne engages in litigation concerning and advises clients on matters related to the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and National Labor Relations Act (NLRA). She also assists clients in resolving matters concerning trade secrets and unfair competition.

Flynne is an experienced trial lawyer and former prosecutor at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, where she tried numerous misdemeanor cases and felonies punishable by life in prison. In law school, Flynne served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Marcia G. Cooke in the Southern District of Florida and certified legal intern at the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney.

Prior to joining GSRM, Flynne practiced in the litigation section at the law firm of Chepenik Trushin, LLP.
